We recommend a 6-12 monthly dental Examination in order to identify any change in the health or your teeth or gums early. This would involve taking digital x-rays on an annual or biannual basis. We believe ‘prevention is better than cure’ and know that early identification and management/treatment will be more straightforward and less costly to the tooth and your pocket.
We place a high priority on the health of your gums. It is imperative to the overall health of not only your mouth but your whole system. We are lucky to have a very experienced and super friendly hygienist to help you strive for and achieve your best oral health, through hygiene visits and homecare/education. Regular visits to see the hygienist will aid you in keeping dental problems to a minimum, bad breath at bay and good stable foundations for your teeth.
We offer a full range of ‘restorative’ dental care. This is a term we use that encompasses a range of treatments where we restore or rebuild your tooth using a variety of methods, from fillings to crowns, bridges, implants, root canal treatments or dentures.
In the case of an accident involving your mouth ACC may be able to help cover some of the costs this might involve. We can help you register the accident with the correct paperwork and provide treatment where necessary.
As a family friendly practice we are happy to be part of the AOHS. This is the government scheme which funds the dental care of teenagers (exception being orthodontics) from year 9 at school until their 18th birthday.
